Is there any dress code when visiting churches?

There is a certain dress code to visit working monasteries and churches in Russia – in some places you will not be allowed in the church in shorts, strapless tops etc. and you should always wear clothing covering your shoulders, and women are expected to cover their hair. Please take a small scarf when you will be visiting monasteries/churches.
